Faced with the challenge of adapting existing infrastructure to meet new operational requirements, NPSG Europe delivered a cost-effective, performance-driven solution through the strategic decommissioning and reconfiguration of a conveyor system across two sites.
NPSG was engaged to support a client undergoing a major operational transition involving two facilities. The project required the decommissioning of an existing conveyor system at one site and its subsequent reconfiguration and redeployment at another. This was far more than a simple relocation; it demanded a full engineering redesign and updated controls integration to align with the layout and throughput requirements of the new facility.
Although the original conveyor remained mechanically sound, it was no longer optimised for the client’s revised fulfilment strategy. Rather than investing in an entirely new system, NPSG proposed a cost-effective approach that maximised the value of existing equipment. A detailed assessment identified which components could be reused without compromising performance or reliability, delivering significant cost savings while maintaining high operational standards.
NPSG’s engineering team then developed a bespoke configuration for the redeployed system. This included layout modifications, new control system integration, and alignment with the client’s updated throughput targets. The result was a streamlined, efficient conveyor system that not only met current operational needs but also offered scalability for future growth.
By combining strategic reuse with innovative engineering, NPSG delivered a solution that balanced performance, flexibility, and cost efficiency. This project exemplifies our commitment to helping clients adapt to change while maximising the value of their existing assets.
